New Delhi. Ceasefire has been declared on the border with Pakistan, but India’s Operation Sindoor is still going on. A detailed press conference was held on Sunday by the DG Operations of the three armies. During this, the army gave information about Operation Sindoor and said that we have completed our target and objective and the victims of Pahalgam have got justice.
‘All our pilots returned safely’
Director General Air Operations (DGAO) AK Bharti said that all our pilots are safe and we have achieved all the targets. In fact, Pakistan was claiming to capture Indian pilots and shoot down Rafale planes, but the Air Force has completely rejected any such claim.
DGAO AK Bharti said that India has not allowed any Pakistani aircraft to enter its border and that is why no debris has been found. It is true that we have shot down some Pakistani fighter jets and drones, but it is not right to tell their count right now. Some reports had revealed that India has shot down Pakistan’s F-16 and JF-17 fighter planes, although the Air Force has not named any specific aircraft.
When Air Marshal AK Bharti was asked how many Pakistani planes have been shot down, he said, ‘We would not like to make any guess here, I have the figures and we are currently getting technical details to confirm it. That is why this is not the right time to give any figure immediately.’
Air Marshal AK Bharti said that the attack was a precise and restrained retaliation, in which important military bases of Pakistan were attacked. These include airbases, command centers, military infrastructure and air defense systems on the Western Front. The bases we targeted include Chaklala and Rafiki airbases.
‘More than 100 terrorists killed’
Director General of Military Operations Rajiv Ghai said that the aim of the Indian Army was to target only terrorist bases and we have targeted 4 bases in Pakistan and 5 in PoK. More than 100 terrorists have been killed in this military action, including terrorists like Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik and Mudassir Ahmed involved in the Kandahar hijack and Pulwama attack.
Many airbases of Pakistan destroyed
Action has been taken on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor. But the army has identified a total of 21 terrorist bases, so will the military attack on terrorists continue in the future as well? In response to this, DGMO Rajiv Ghai said that while identifying terrorist bases, we had identified many terror camps. We may have shown 21, there are more. But after filtering the list has reached 21. If needed, action will be taken at the remaining locations as well.
Navy was ready for action
Everyone knows about the action of Army and Air Force in this military action against terrorists. But this press conference revealed that Indian Navy was also fully prepared for the attack during this time. Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO) Vice Admiral AN Pramod said that on the night of 9 May, Navy was fully prepared to target and destroy selected targets including Pakistan’s military installations, Karachi Port in the maritime border of Pakistan, we were just waiting for instructions. Vice Admiral said that Navy is fully capable of any retaliatory action.
DGNO said that we checked the preparations of our weapons and warships in the Arabian Sea within 96 hours of the terrorist attack and our force remained deployed in the North Arabian Sea with full readiness and capability for decisive action against the enemy, so that selected targets of the enemy on sea and land including Karachi could be attacked at the time chosen by us.
On 22 April, terrorists carried out a cowardly attack targeting tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed. In response to this, India carried out military action against the terrorists on 7 May, which was named Operation Sindoor. Despite this, Pakistan did not come to its senses and tried to target military bases in India, but India’s air defense has given a strong reply to Pakistan by foiling every attack.
