‘I am a village man, I don’t know English’, when the education minister heard the student’s English, he caught his ears

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Education and Panchayat Raj Minister Madan Dilawar was on a tour of Baran. During this, he held an open public hearing in the Zila Parishad auditorium. He heard the problems of the common people and solved them. During this, an interesting incident was witnessed.

‘I don’t understand English’
When Damini Hada, a student present in the public hearing, started talking to the education minister in English, the minister was surprised at first. Then he laughed and held his ears and greeted the student with folded hands. He said smilingly, ‘I am a village man, I don’t understand English.’


Told the education minister about the plight of government schools
After this, the conversation continued in Hindi. Student Damini informed the minister about the plight of government schools in the district, dilapidated buildings, shortage of teachers and lack of resources. She told how the condition of education in government schools remains worrisome.
