
New Delhi: Indian Navy’s new warship INS Tushil stopped in London during its journey from Russia to India. At this time, the weapons installed on it were also seen. Especially the A-190E naval gun and the vertical launch system of the Brahmos missile, anti-ship cruise missile launch system. Both of these are such weapons that the world trembles with fear.
This is a 100 mm multipurpose artillery gun installed on warships. This weapon can attack in the air, warships, surface, land. The weight of a bullet used in it is 26.8 kg. This weapon can attack by rotating from minus 10 degrees to plus 85 degrees.
This weapon fires 60 rounds in a minute. That is, one bullet is fired every second. Which can target any large ship, carrier, aircraft or helicopter or submarine. This weapon stores 350 bullets. If needed, it gets refilled in a few minutes. They are capable of moving in all four directions and attacking.
Vertical Launch Brahmos/Anti-Ship Cruise Missile
Tushil is equipped with 8 x VLS launched Brahmos and anti-ship cruise missile systems. 8 vertical launch anti-ship missile clubs, 8 vertical launch anti-ship and land attack Brahmos missiles are also deployed. These warships are equipped with electronic warfare systems. Also, 4 KT-216 decoy launchers are installed. 24 Shtil-1 medium range missiles are deployed in it.
A 76 mm Oto Melara naval gun is installed. 2 AK-630 CIWS and 2 Kashtan CIWS guns are installed. Apart from these dangerous guns, there are two 533 mm torpedo tubes. A rocket launcher has also been deployed. This warship can be equipped with a Kamov-28 or a Kamov-31 or Dhruv helicopter.
INS Tushil is coming towards India
Indian Navy’s new multirole stealth guided missile frigate INS Tushil left for India from Kaliningrad, Russia on 17 December 2024. This is its first operational deployment. This ship built in Russia was inducted into the Navy by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on 9 December 24.
This ship will pass through the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean. It will stop at the ports of many friendly countries on the way. Tushil’s first deployment will include major charters of the Indian Navy i.e. diplomatic, military and constabulary activities.
This ship will conduct joint patrol and maritime partnership exercises with many navies en route, including piracy spots in the region. During its stop at friendly ports, it will carry out capacity building activities with the host navies. During the port stay, Indian expatriates present in that area will also be contacted.
