
Srinagar: Amidst rising tensions, Iran has reopened its airspace to civil flights. This has accelerated the evacuation process for Indian students stranded in the country. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, the first evacuation flight from Tehran to Delhi is scheduled to depart on Friday. All students have been registered.
The embassy has collected their personal details and passports, and students in the first batch have been instructed to be ready by 8:00 AM. The first batch is expected to include students from Golestan University, along with some students from SBUMS (Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences) and TUMS (Tehran University of Medical Sciences).
According to officials, the final passenger list will be released late Thursday night after confirmation. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association expressed hope that the evacuation of the remaining students will also proceed smoothly and safely.
