Major action taken in Zubin Garg’s death case: Cousin arrested, DSP in Assam Police

Desk: Assam Police is taking swift action in the case of singer Zubin Garg’s death. Following the arrests of his manager and event organizer, another arrest has been made. The singer’s cousin has been arrested. It is reported that Zubin’s cousin is Deputy Superintendent of Police Sandipan Garg. The Assam CID’s SIT arrested him on Wednesday morning after questioning him. It is said that he was present at the scene when the singer died.

Zubin Garg died during a yacht party in Singapore on September 19th. Sandipan was also present on the yacht at the time and has already been questioned. 52-year-old Zubin Garg drowned while swimming. Several other people, including some colleagues and friends, were with him. They had gone swimming during the yacht party. Sandipan’s arrest comes a day after Assamese NRI Rup Kamal Kalita testified before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Seven other NRIs summoned by the SIT have yet to join the investigation.

This is the fifth arrest in the Zubeen Garg death case, which has sparked widespread outrage and outrage in Assam. His fans have intensified their demand for a just and fair investigation into the cause of the iconic singer’s demise. Previously, police arrested Zubeen’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, Shyamkanu Mahanta, organizer of the Northeast India Festival in Singapore, and two members of his band: musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and young singer Amritprabha Mahanta.
