Maqsood caught with a Hindu girl in a hotel, beaten up badly, was extorting money by blackmailing

Pratapgarh: In Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, a case of blackmailing a Hindu girl by a Muslim youth Maqsood by trapping her in a love trap took a violent turn. The girl’s family members beat up the youth in public. The youth was beaten with sticks from inside the hotel to the road, due to which his condition became critical. The police admitted him to the medical college, from where he was referred to Prayagraj.

The case started with a love affair. According to the victim, Maqsood befriended her through social media by hiding his identity and gradually developed a love relationship. During the two-year conversation, the youth made an obscene video of the girl and then started blackmailing her by demanding money.

It is alleged that the victim has so far given a total of Rs 2.5 lakh to Maqsood, out of which Rs 50 thousand were transferred online. Last Monday, the youth called the girl to a hotel in the city and demanded another 4 lakh rupees. He threatened to make the obscene video viral if the money was not given.

Meanwhile, the girl’s family and some acquaintances also reached there and beat up Maqsood. The video of which went viral on social media. When the matter escalated, the administration investigated the hotel, in which SDM Nainshi Singh seized the hotel as the hotel was not registered.

At the same time, after the beating, the attackers fled from the spot. The city Kotwali police, which reached the spot on information, took the injured youth to the hospital and started investigating the case.
