Misconceptions being spread about the RSS… It’s not a paramilitary organization: Mohan Bhagwat

Bhopal: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat made a significant statement, saying that the Sangh is not a paramilitary organization. He said that misconceptions are being spread about the Sangh, while the real purpose of the RSS is to unite and strengthen society. These people don’t understand the Sangh properly
During an event in Bhopal, Mohan Bhagwat said that Sangh volunteers wear similar uniforms, march, and practice with sticks. But assuming that the RSS is a paramilitary organization based solely on these things is wrong. He said, “If someone thinks so, they don’t understand the Sangh properly. The RSS is a different kind of organization.”

Not everything on the internet or Wikipedia is true
Bhagwat said that nowadays people don’t try to understand any subject in depth. They quickly rely on sources like the internet or Wikipedia for information, where it’s not necessary that everything is true. He said that those who get information from correct and reliable sources understand the role and objectives of the Sangh better.

A false narrative is being created about the RSS
He also said that a false narrative is being deliberately created about the RSS. This is why the Sangh has to repeatedly explain its work and ideology to people. Talking about history, Mohan Bhagwat said that the British were not the first people to attack India. Even before them, people from outside had defeated India many times. He said that these people were neither richer nor better or more virtuous than the Indians, yet they defeated us. This happened seven times, and the British were the eighth invaders. Thinking only of one’s own benefit will weaken the country.

Bhagwat raised the question of what the true security of independence is if such incidents keep happening. He said that society itself will have to find the answer. When people think only about their own benefit, the country will become weak. But if society remains united and embraces good values, the country will become strong.
