Approval Granted to Connect Badnawar-Timarni Four-Lane to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bestowed a significant gift upon Madhya Pradesh, which was a subject of discussion during the cabinet meeting. During the proceedings, it was announced that the Central Government has granted approval to connect the Badnawar-Timarni four-lane road to the 8-lane Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This project is estimated to cost ₹3,839 crore. This connectivity will play a crucial role during the upcoming Simhastha (Kumbh Mela).
₹40 Bonus on Wheat Procurement
An MoU has been signed with the Central Government regarding the ‘Jal Mahotsav’ (Water Festival). This festival will be celebrated across every village in the state from March 8 to March 22, with the aim of encouraging public participation. Furthermore, the ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ (Water Conservation Campaign) will be launched starting March 19. A decision was also taken to provide a bonus of ₹40 on wheat procurement. Consequently, wheat will now be procured at a rate of ₹2,625 per unit.
Elevated Four-Lane Road to be Built at a Cost of ₹945 Crore
An elevated four-lane road will be constructed connecting Chimanganj in Ujjain to the Indore Road. This road project will span 5.5 kilometers and is estimated to cost ₹945 crore. In the Rewa district, the Panwar Irrigation Project will facilitate the irrigation of 75,230 hectares of land, entailing an expenditure of ₹228 crore. Upon the completion of this project, 92 percent of the cultivable land in the district will be under irrigation.
Discussions Held with Three Oil Companies Amidst War Situation
Approval was granted for the continuation of several ongoing schemes under the Public Works Department. In light of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the government has held discussions with the three major oil marketing companies. Directives have also been issued to the District Collectors to ensure that there remains an adequate supply of fuel and gas across the state.
