NIA raids 19 locations in 8 states, tightens noose around Jaish terrorist’s close associates

New Delhi/Mumbai. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team raided 19 locations in 8 states of the country on December 12 in the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) terrorist conspiracy case. It was done at several places in Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Gujarat. During this, many objectionable documents, electronic devices including mobile phones, pen drives, CDs, hard disks etc. were seized.

The search was conducted at the hideouts of close associates of Sheikh Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi alias Ayubi, a Jaish-e-Mohammed suspect. Let us tell you that Ayubi has already been arrested in this case. He was arrested in October 2024 for disseminating propaganda material related to Jaish and radicalizing youth inspired by the terrorist organization and recruiting them into the organization.

A Maulvi from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar was involved in this case, who has been questioned. A 26-year-old man from Amravati as well as a 45-year-old man from Bhiwandi have also been questioned. NIA officials started searching the house of Mohammad Musib Sheikh Isa (26) of Amravati at 3:30 am. When the NIA team arrived, Isa’s family did not open the door for half an hour. After this, Mohammad Musib was picked up for questioning.

Mother claims – diary belongs to a relative
Musib’s mother said that her son was ill. During the search, all the books, books and diaries were searched, in which some Pakistani numbers were found. The diary in which the Pakistani number was found belongs to a relative. NIA officials have taken the diary with them. Musib’s mother further said that for the last few months her son was doing the perfume business, while Musib’s father works as a cycle rickshaw driver.

Religious by nature, engineer by profession
At the same time, NIA officials reached the house of Kamran Ansari (45) in Khadipar area of ​​​​Bhiwandi at 5 am. According to sources, NIA officials searched his house and seized his laptop and some documents from his house. Ansari’s neighbors said that he is a resident of Malegaon and is a very religious person by nature. He is an engineer by profession. Ansari was also taken into custody by NIA officials for questioning.
