New Delhi. As soon as Donald Trump took power, he wreaked havoc on illegal migrants. People living illegally in America are being continuously sent back. But questions are being raised about the way they are being sent. Actually, 104 Indian citizens declared illegal migrants in America have been sent back to India.

Let us tell you, the Trump government has adopted a very strict stance on the citizenship law. After which the sword of deportation is hanging over 14 lakh illegal migrant Indians living in America. But the question is how did these people reach America, and what were they doing there?

How did these people reach America? The direct answer to this question is that all of them reached America through the wrong route, which is not legally valid. Their route of reaching America is against the law of both the countries. It is clear that if anyone lives illegally in any country, legal action against him is justified. But now after the return of illegal Indians from America, there is a lot of discussion about the Donkey Route.

Now first of all, let us know what this Donkey Route is?
The Donkey Route is a route that passes through many countries. That is, if an Indian has to go to America illegally, then he reaches America via some other country, this route is called the Donkey Route. People who escape abroad use this route unofficially. Through the Donkey Route, people reach European countries like Britain, America, Canada. Many times it takes months to reach the destination in the Donkey Route. For this, people go from one country to another illegally by truck, plane or boat, on foot or through forests. People from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat and some states of the South enter countries like Canada, Britain and America donkey-wise.

This route is legally illegal. Therefore, there is a lot of danger in it. Many times people even die. This route is the most dangerous because it involves crossing the borders of many countries. In such a situation, many times the soldiers posted on the border shoot the people who intrude illegally. At the same time, in some cases, people also die due to severe cold or hunger.

A big racket is going on
Now the question arises that there must be someone who takes these people to a country like America through the Donkey Route. Actually, experts say that a big racket is going on to take people abroad through the Donkey Route. In which many travel agencies are also involved. The Donkey Route is an illegal route, so agents and travel agencies also earn illegal money through it. Many people spend lakhs to reach America through the Donkey Route, 50 to 60 lakh rupees is a common thing. If reports are to be believed, the agents of this gang get people to enter America through the border of Mexico or Canada.

Let us know what work do the people who reach America through the Donkey Route do there? It is clear that earning money is the only motive. But what kind of work do people do for which they risk their lives? Those people who reach abroad illegally are unable to get documents made to go through the direct route, or they do not get permission.

Most of the people who reach America through the donkey route are less educated, being unskilled, they do the same work abroad. Most of the people work as helpers in restaurants, washing utensils, household helpers – taking care of children, looking after cattle, helping in small shops, cleaning vehicles, petrol pumps, labourers at construction sites, packaging and labourers in warehouses, apart from this, such people are engaged in underground jobs. Because they are not asked for documents for such work.

    Low salary… more work
However, Indians who reach for this job through the donkey route get only half the salary compared to Americans, because those who hire them also know that they are living in the country illegally, so they offer less salary, they also have to hide their identity, with the consent of both, such people stay in America for years. According to an estimate, people engaged in this kind of work earn 50 to 60 lakh rupees annually. Whereas Americans take more than 1.25 crore rupees annually for the same work. People who reach through the donkey route are given less salary and are made to do more work and they are strong enough to do all this.

People who reach through the donkey route earn in cash, and their identity remains hidden, people living illegally in America live in such places where there is less police movement. Because as difficult as it is to reach America illegally, staying there is an even bigger struggle. They also do such work where there is less public dealing. These people also avoid going to places where they may be noticed by the police or American officials. Illegal immigrants avoid mixing in American society. It is difficult for such people to open a bank account, which forces them to transact in cash. If there is a medical emergency, they are afraid to go to the hospital because documents may be asked there as well.

People living on the Donkey Route always fear deportation. Immigration officers or police can catch them anytime. To catch such people, police of many countries run continuous campaigns and raid many places, people are also caught. After being caught, they are sent to detention camps and then the process of deportation begins. It is said that there are more than 1 crore such people in America.
