PM Modi launches Bima Sakhi Yojana

Panipat. PM Modi is on a visit to Panipat in Haryana today. Here he launched LIC’s ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’. On this occasion, PM Modi said that the double engine government in Haryana is working at double the speed. He said that today India is taking another strong step towards women empowerment. Today is special for other reasons too.

Today is the 9th, the number 9 is considered very auspicious in the scriptures. The number 9 is associated with the nine powers of Nav Durga. The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly was held on 9 December. Today, when the country is celebrating the 75th year of the Constitution, this date of 9 December inspires us to make equality and development all-encompassing.

PM Modi said that right now the ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ has been launched here, which provides employment to the sisters and daughters of the country. I congratulate all the sisters of the country. A few years ago, I had the privilege of starting the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign from Panipat. It had a positive impact on the entire country as well as Haryana. Now, after 10 years, the ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ has been started for sisters and daughters from this land of Panipat. Our Panipat has become a symbol of Nari Shakti.

PM Modi further said that to empower women, it is very important that they get a lot of opportunities to move forward, every obstacle is removed from in front of them. When women get an opportunity to move forward, they open new doors of opportunities for the country. For a long time, there were many such works in our country which were forbidden for women.

Our BJP government has decided to remove every obstacle from the front of daughters. Even after 60-65 years of independence, most women did not have bank accounts, that is, women were cut off from banking facilities. Therefore, our government first opened Jan Dhan accounts of mothers and sisters. Today I am proud that more than 30 crore women’s accounts have been opened under the Jan Dhan Yojana.

PM Modi said that today a campaign is being started to make lakhs of daughters insurance agents, insurance friends, that is, the service from which they were once deprived, today they are being given the responsibility of connecting other people with the same service. Today 10 crore sisters across the country are associated with self-help groups. Women are earning by joining them. In the last 10 years, we have helped women of self-help groups with more than Rs 8 lakh crore. I would also like to tell the sisters of self-help groups across the country that your role is extraordinary, your contribution is huge.

He said that all of you are engaged in making India the third largest economic power in the world. People who weigh everything on the scale of vote bank are very upset today. They are not able to understand why the blessings of mothers, sisters, daughters are increasing in Modi’s account election after election. Those who considered mothers and sisters only as vote bank, will not be able to understand this strong relationship.
