PM Modi spoke to Italian Prime Minister Meloni, these issues were discussed

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni over the phone. In the conversation, both the leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthen the India-Italy strategic partnership. They also agreed to increase cooperation in finding a quick solution to the Ukraine crisis.

PM Modi posted about this on the social media platform X. He wrote that a very good conversation was held with Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. We reiterated our joint commitment to strengthen the India-Italy strategic partnership and showed a shared interest in ending the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Modi also appreciated Italy’s efforts to finalize the India-European Union (EU) trade agreement as soon as possible and to promote connectivity through the India-Middle East-Europe Connectivity (IMEEC) initiative.
