
New Delhi: In today’s time when the world is running after wealth, a person coming from Japan to India chooses the path of religion and service, this is a great inspiration in itself. Actually, a Japanese businessman has said goodbye to his business worth crores and dedicated himself to the devotion of Lord Shiva. Let us tell you that 41-year-old Hoshi Takayuki, who earlier owned 15 beauty product stores in Tokyo, has now become “Bala Kumbh Gurumuni”.
What is Takayuki’s story?
A 41-year-old Japanese man is making headlines for leaving his flourishing business empire and becoming a saffron-clad Shiva devotee. Now famous as Bala Kumbh Gurumuni, Hoshi Takayuki was once the owner of 15 successful beauty products in Tokyo. But now? He is a Lord Shiva devotee who has set out on a journey of self-discovery in Uttarakhand. Dressed in traditional saffron robes and accompanied by 20 Japanese followers, he was recently seen walking barefoot carrying holy Ganga water during the Kanwar Yatra. He is also said to have organised a two-day food camp for fellow Kanwariyas in Dehradun during his pilgrimage.
What made him leave everything?
Hoshi Takayuki’s spiritual journey began 20 years ago in Tamil Nadu. During the journey, he came across Nadi Jyotish – an ancient Siddha method that interprets life from palm-leaf manuscripts, which are reportedly thousands of years old. During the reading, he was reportedly told that he had spent a previous life in the Himalayas and was destined to follow Hindu spirituality. The palm leaves read – “Your previous life was spent in Uttarakhand.” Shortly after this, he had a dream in which he saw himself in a village in Uttarakhand. From there his life changed.
Chose a new path of Shiva devotion
Inspired by this experience, Mr. Takayuki decided to hand over his business empire to his followers and adopted a new spiritual identity and changed his name to Bala Kumbha Gurumuni. He converted his Tokyo house into a full-fledged Shiva temple and also built another temple. Hoshi Takayuki has changed his name to “Bala Kumbha Gurumuni”. Along with this, he has also converted his Tokyo house into a Shiva temple. At the same time, he has built another new temple in Japan and is going to build a huge Shiva temple on 35 acres of land in Puducherry. Along with this, there is a plan to open an ashram in Uttarakhand soon.
Deep connection with Devbhoomi Uttarakhand
Hoshi Takayuki said, “I feel that I have spent my previous life here. I am still searching for my village in those mountains.” Apart from this, according to his friend Ramesh Sundariyal, a resident of Pauri Garhwal and living in Japan for a long time, the 41-year-old man has bought 35 acres of land in Puducherry, where he plans to build a big Shiva temple. He is also planning to open an ashram in Uttarakhand soon. He said, “I feel a deep attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. I believe that I have spent my previous life here and I am still searching for my village in the mountains.”
