Ujjain: Devotee dies of heart attack at Mahakal Temple; last status reads, “Breaths are borrowed, we are just tenants…”

Ujjain. A heartbreaking incident occurred on Monday at Ujjain’s world-famous Mahakal Temple, shocking everyone. A devotee who had come to attend the Bhasma Aarti died of a heart attack. Saurabhraj Soni, a resident of Ujjain’s Parshvanath City, ran a tea shop. Like every Monday, Saurabhraj arrived at the temple around 1:00 a.m. on Diwali to participate in Baba Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti.

Before he could have darshan of the deity, he suffered a heart attack and fell unconscious at Gate No. 1. His companions and temple staff immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Saurabhraj Soni bid farewell to the world in the Lord’s court.
