MP: Woman gave birth to a child, mother died of Covid the very next day

Jabalpur: A sad news has come from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A 27-year-old woman died of Covid-19 on Sunday. The woman gave birth to a child on Saturday at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Jabalpur, but she died the very next day. This information was given by an official.

Joint Director of Health Department Dr. Sanjay Mishra told that the woman was a resident of neighboring Mandla district and she already had lung disease.

Lung problems increased after delivery
Dr. Mishra said, ‘The woman came to the Government Medical College Hospital for delivery on Friday. She gave birth to a child on Saturday. Later she started having problems in the lungs, after which corona test was done and the report came positive.’

Three cases of corona in a week
After the report came positive, the woman was shifted to the isolation ward, where she died. Dr. Mishra further said that a 70-year-old man is currently undergoing treatment for corona infection in the hospital.

He said that in the last one week, three corona positive cases have been reported in Jabalpur, in which one person was a resident of Katni district and the other was this deceased woman.
