Another Fire Incident in Lucknow Today; Fire Breaks Out at Iram School

Lucknow: Another fire incident has occurred today in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place at Iram School, located on Campbell Road. The fire at Iram School caused panic in the area, especially since 15 people had lost their lives in a fire at a coaching center in Aliganj just yesterday (June 22).

No Casualties in Iram School Fire
The incident was reported from Campbell Road within the Thakurganj police station area. Fortunately, there were no casualties resulting from the fire at Iram School. As the school building was empty, no harm came to anyone. This follows yesterday’s tragedy in Aliganj, where 15 people died in a coaching center fire. However, timely information regarding the fire at Iram School allowed fire tenders to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is not yet clear, and there are no reports of any injuries or casualties.

What Happened in Lucknow on June 22?
A fire broke out at a coaching center in the Aliganj area of ​​Lucknow. Fifteen people lost their lives in the tragedy, and their names have since been released. PM Modi and CM Yogi expressed grief over the incident and announced compensation. CM Yogi personally visited the site to take stock of the situation.

Subsequently, acting on the CM’s instructions, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to probe the matter. This team is tasked with submitting its investigation report to CM Yogi. The investigation team has been directed to submit the report within seven days. In a post on X, CM Yogi stated, “I inspected the site of the fire incident in Lucknow and visited King George’s Medical University to meet those injured in this unfortunate accident and their families, inquiring about their well-being and obtaining updates from the doctors regarding their treatment. Proper medical care for all the injured is being provided on a top-priority basis under the supervision of skilled doctors.

The grief of families who have lost their loved ones in this heart-wrenching accident cannot be expressed in words. The UP government stands with all the affected families with the utmost sensitivity and commitment. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and a speedy recovery to the injured. I have directed the concerned officials to provide immediate financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and ₹50,000 each to those seriously injured.”
