‘Be Prepared for a Major Ideological Battle’: Lalu Yadav’s Open Letter to the People of Bihar

Patna: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has written an open letter to the people of Bihar on the occasion of the party’s 30th foundation day. In his message, Lalu launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government, alleging that democratic institutions are being weakened and the spirit of the Constitution is under threat. Lalu stated that constitutional institutions are being misused and democracy is facing serious challenges.

Lalu Yadav did not stop there; he alleged that the BJP is using its political power to undermine institutions and divert attention from crucial issues—such as unemployment, education, social justice, the rights of backward classes and minorities, and the government’s failures—by promoting the “Hindutva” narrative. The RJD chief urged party workers to prepare for a major ideological battle.

He stated that the RJD is not merely a political party that contests elections, but a movement committed to defending the Constitution and fighting for the rights of the poor and the downtrodden. He asked party leaders and workers to remain connected with the people and continue raising issues of public interest in Parliament and on the streets. Recalling the party’s journey, Lalu noted that the RJD was formed on July 5, 1997, to fight for the rights of the poor, Dalits, backward classes, minorities, and other marginalized communities.

Lalu Yadav Praises the Contribution of Party Workers
For the past three decades, the party has remained committed to the ideals of social justice, equality, and inclusive development. Lalu also appreciated the contribution of party workers, stating that their dedication and sacrifices have helped strengthen the RJD over the last 30 years. He thanked the leaders, workers, and supporters for standing by the party through every phase.

Concluding his letter, Lalu extended greetings on the RJD’s 30th foundation day and mentioned that celebrations are taking place across Bihar. He also said that RJD Working President Tejashwi Yadav would address party workers as part of the foundation day event.
