According to US media reports, Israel has provided intelligence to the US claiming that Iran has hatched a new plot to assassinate President Donald Trump. This information has surfaced at a time when military confrontation between the two nations has intensified once again.

According to reports by The Wall Street Journal and CNN, Israeli intelligence agencies warned US officials this week that Iran is working on a specific plan to target Trump. However, US agencies have not yet been able to independently verify this intelligence.

The report states that ever since the death of General Qassem Soleimani—commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)—in a US drone strike in 2020, Iran has consistently spoken of seeking revenge against Trump. Anti-Trump slogans were also raised recently during the funeral proceedings associated with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
