Anant Ambani Spotted Holding a Mace at Bageshwar Dham; Offered Prayers with Dhirendra Shastri

New Delhi: Anant Ambani, son of prominent industrialist Mukesh Ambani and Executive Director of Reliance Industries, visited Bageshwar Dham. Upon his arrival, he was seen offering prayers alongside Dhirendra Shastri. A video also captured Anant holding a mace while with Dhirendra Shastri.

Dhirendra Shastri is the head priest of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh and is popularly known as ‘Bageshwar Dham Maharaj’. He narrates religious stories during his gatherings.

Notably, a few days ago, Anant Ambani visited the Tirumala Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh to seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara. During the visit, he donated his hair, adhering to a long-standing religious tradition; hair donation is considered an integral part of the religious customs at Tirumala. Images of his visit and the hair donation went viral on social media.

Why is hair donated?
Lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad visit Tirumala to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara and participate in religious rituals. A large number of devotees donate their hair here. Devotees view hair donation as a symbol of reverence, devotion, gratitude, and humility towards the deity. Many offer their hair upon the fulfillment of a wish or as part of a specific vow. This tradition of hair donation at Tirumala is believed to date back thousands of years.
