Bihar: Another big incident in Patna, RJD leader Rajkumar Rai murdered after entering the hotel

Patna. In Patna, the capital of Bihar, criminals shot and killed RJD leader and property dealer Rajkumar Rai alias Ala Rai. The incident is from Chitragupt Nagar police station area.

According to the police, Rajkumar Rai had just reached near his house in his car when the criminals who had ambushed him started firing on him. After being shot, Rajkumar Rai entered a nearby hotel to save his life, but the criminals followed him and reached inside and fired several rounds in the hotel. One bullet also hit the hotel’s fridge, shattering its glass.

6 shells recovered from the spot
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and the injured Rajkumar Rai was immediately taken to PMCH, where doctors declared him dead. Police have recovered 6 shells from the spot. Patna East SP Parichay Kumar also reached the spot and investigated. He told that the deceased Rajkumar Rai was associated with a political party and also used to do property dealing.

He was preparing to contest elections from Raghopur
The family alleged that the criminals fired 8 to 10 bullets. The deceased’s sister Shila Devi said that her brother was preparing to contest elections from Raghopur this time.

She warned that if the criminals are not arrested soon, they will protest by keeping the body on the road. However, she refused to make the name of the accused public right now.

Police engaged in murder investigation
At present, the police has seized the DVR of CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot and has called the FSL team for investigation. The SP said that whether there is political rivalry or property dispute behind the murder, it will be clear after investigation. As the elections come closer in Bihar, incidents of political murders have been increasing and this incident has once again raised questions on law and order.
