New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen has been allotted a Type-8 government residence at 1 Motilal Nehru Marg, located in a prime VVIP area of Delhi. According to sources, the bungalow has now been formally allotted to Nitin Naveen.
Previously, this bungalow was allotted to former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren. After Shibu Soren vacated the residence, it has now been given to the BJP president. According to officials associated with government accommodation allocation, this process was carried out under the rules of the Directorate of Estates.
Sources said that earlier, Nitin Naveen was allotted a government bungalow at 9 Sunheri Bagh Lane, but he did not like that residence. He then requested an alternative accommodation, under which the bungalow at 1 Motilal Nehru Marg has now been allotted to him.
According to the rules of the Directorate of Estates, the national president of a national party, if he is not a Union Minister, Lok Sabha MP, or Rajya Sabha MP, is allotted a Type-8 category government bungalow. Nitin Naveen perfectly fits this criterion.
It is noteworthy that Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal also received a government residence on the same basis. This facility is provided based on the party position, not solely on the basis of a constitutional post.
Nitin Naveen officially assumed the post of BJP National President on January 20, 2026. The 45-year-old Nitin Naveen is the youngest national president of the party and succeeded JP Nadda. Prior to this, he served as the BJP’s National Working President from December 2025 to January 2026.
