BJP’s national president may be elected soon

New Delhi: BJP has taken another step forward for the election of the national president. The party on Friday (27 June 2025) announced the state election officer for the state president election in three states. So far, BJP has announced the name of its state president in 14 states. Whereas for the election of the national president, the process of organization election is required to be completed in 19 states..

In such a situation, now the election of the national president of BJP can be held soon. BJP on Friday appointed Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in Maharashtra, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra in Uttarakhand and Ravi Shankar Prasad in West Bengal as its state election officers. National Returning Officer Dr. K Laxman has issued a letter and announced the names of all three.

Now all these three leaders will go to these states and the process of election of state president will be completed in all these three states, after which the name of the state president will be announced. After the organization elections in 19 states of BJP, the national president will be elected, it is believed that by the beginning of next month the party will complete all the processes required for the election of its national president.

Talking about the remaining states, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Uttarakhand are included. Whereas in Assam, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, the process of election of state president has been completed and the new state president has been announced. BJP was founded in the year 1980, which is the largest party in the country today. This party formed the central government by securing absolute majority in 2014 and 2019. However, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it fell short of the magic figure of majority.
