Following the murder of Chandranath Rath, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s PA, in Madhyamgram, West Bengal, his close friend, Kasim Ali, revealed this.

The murder, which took place late Wednesday night, has heated up Bengal politics. The BJP is calling it a political murder, while the TMC is demanding a CBI inquiry. The police are investigating the case. But the most discussed statement in this entire matter is Kasim Ali’s statement, in which he recounted his last conversation with Chandranath Rath.

Come to Nizam Palace…
Qasim Ali said that he spoke to Chandranath Rath on the phone between 6 and 6:30 pm on Wednesday. He was calling, but we couldn’t go. According to Qasim Ali, the atmosphere was completely normal. No one had any idea that such a major incident would occur just a few hours later.

Late Night Attack
According to police, Chandranath Rath’s car was attacked in the Madhyamgram area late Wednesday night. It is reported that the attackers, in a car and on several bikes, were following his car. His car was stopped some distance away and then a rapid fire was fired. Chandranath Rath was hit by several bullets. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Following the incident, tension spread in the area, and a large number of BJP workers reached the hospital. Qasim Ali, speaking to Aaj Tak, claimed that the attack wasn’t solely on Chandranath Rath. He said the target was Shubhendu Adhikari. Chandada was one of his closest associates. He said the attack had been going on for several days. Kasim Ali says that the attackers had complete information about where Chandranath Rath lived and his travel routes. However, the police have not yet confirmed this claim.

Accusations against Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee
During the conversation, Kasim Ali also made serious allegations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee. He said that Chandada’s murder was a conspiracy. Some people were unable to tolerate the success achieved in the Bhawanipur elections. However, no official response has yet been issued by the TMC on these allegations. Kasim Ali became emotional several times during the conversation. He said, “Our Chandada was snatched away. The people of Bengal will never forget this.” Chandranath Rath was known as “Chandada” among BJP workers. He had been associated with Suvendu Adhikari’s team for a long time.

Encounter is required
Kasim Ali demanded strict action against the accused. He said, “We want an encounter.” Our Chief Minister will be sworn in on the morning of the 9th, and action should be taken by evening. Police have recovered several cartridges and other evidence from the scene. CCTV footage is being examined. The car used in the attack has also been seized by the police. Initial investigations have revealed that the number plate was tampered with.

What Eyewitnesses Said
Eyewitnesses told police that the motorcycle used in the attack did not have a registration plate, raising suspicions that the attack was premeditated. A source narrating the incident said that someone followed their car and opened fire when it slowed down. The driver of the vehicle was also injured in the firing and is undergoing treatment at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. His condition is reported to be critical.

Sources said that bullet casings recovered from the scene indicate that a small weapon, possibly an Austrian-made Glock pistol, may have been used in the attack. However, investigators cautioned that the exact weapon could only be confirmed after forensic examination. “Forensic examination will determine the type of weapon used in the attack,” the sources said. Visuals from the scene showed bullet marks on the car window, indicating the severity of the attack. Investigators recovered empty cartridges and live bullets from the scene.
