August 23, 2025

Jabalpur: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was on a tour of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. He gave the gift of several road schemes to the state from Jabalpur district, as well as announced the construction of a tiger corridor. This tiger corridor to be built in the state will connect four tiger reserves, which will promote tourism in the state. On this occasion, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 10 road projects worth Rs 4,706 crore in the state.

The four-lane corridor connecting four tiger reserves of the state will be built at a cost of Rs 5,500 crore. At the same time, a Greenfield Highway will be built between Bhopal-Jabalpur at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore. Union Minister Gadkari announced this on the demand of Jabalpur MP Ashish Dubey, State Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh and other MPs. Addressing the gathering after the inauguration of the seven-km-long flyover, Gadkari said that this corridor will boost tourism, employment and the economy of the state.

He said that the cost of the tiger corridor has increased from Rs 4,600 crore to about Rs 5,500 crore now. It will connect Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Panna and Pench reserves. Gadkari said that according to the 2022 census, Madhya Pradesh has 785 tigers, the highest in the country. He said- A 255-km-long greenfield highway between Bhopal and Jabalpur will be constructed at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore. Its detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared by December. He appealed to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Minister Rakesh Singh to make the process of land acquisition smooth, so that construction work can start from April or May next year.

Former US President John F. Referring to Kennedy, Gadkari said that America is rich not because its roads are good, but because of its good roads. He said that infrastructure plays an important role in the development of any state.

Gadkari said that Madhya Pradesh’s agriculture is different in its own way, I work among farmers. I have started AI in agriculture in the agriculture sector. Weather related equipment is installed in my fields and through satellite, information is received on mobile about when to give water or fertilizer. Even information about diseases is received a week in advance, due to which the production of agriculture increases by one and a half times.

He said that Madhya Pradesh is doing good work in the field of agriculture and for this water conservation is necessary. He said that running water should be made to flow, running water should be stopped and stagnant water should be used to seep into the ground, so that the water of the village remains in the village, the water of the field remains in the field and the water of the house remains in the house. On this occasion, the Chief Minister of the state Mohan Yadav said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given more than what was asked from him. We should do our homework more. For this, he thanked the Union Minister on behalf of the people of the state.
