
New Delhi: A meeting of the BJP’s new team of office-bearers took place on Saturday, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to sources, the PM interacted with the office-bearers for approximately four hours and fifteen minutes. Today marks the second day of the meeting of BJP’s national office-bearers; state presidents, organizational general secretaries, and in-charges are participating in this gathering.
Sources indicate that during yesterday’s meeting, the PM spoke to each office-bearer individually. He shared his own experiences from his time as an organizational secretary, recounting how he worked and the challenges he faced back then. He also listened attentively to the views expressed by the office-bearers.
In addition to sharing his experiences, the Prime Minister discussed strategies to take the organization forward. He introduced himself to each office-bearer and sought to learn about their experiences. According to sources, the PM interacted personally with all 65 office-bearers present in the hall.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi urged the new team to strengthen the organization and foster fresh thinking. He also advised them to build deep connections with the public and emphasized further strengthening the organization at the grassroots level. The four-hour-and-fifteen-minute meeting covered the current political landscape and various organizational issues; special emphasis was also placed on increasing outreach to the youth.
The PM also shared a meal made from millets with the office-bearers. Furthermore, he held separate meetings with Nitin Naveen and B.L. Santhosh; the discussion with Nitin Naveen included the names of potential members for the Parliamentary Board. These names are likely to be announced soon.
In yesterday’s meeting, BJP leader Nitin Naveen asked the new team to continuously enhance engagement with the youth, emphasizing the need to prioritize the ‘Yuva Samvad’ (Youth Dialogue) program. The party is preparing to launch major campaigns to reach out to young people in the coming days.
The BJP’s focus will be on youth aged 14 and above. This will involve youth from Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Preparations are underway to form separate teams of senior leaders from across the country for this purpose. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will assist in the formation and mobilization of these teams.
