If they dare to carry out terrorist attacks again, we will attack them inside their homes, Jaishankar’s strict warning to Pakistan

June 11, 2025

New Delhi. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday warned that if India is provoked through terrorist attacks, India will attack Pakistan from within. Accusing Pakistan of sheltering and training terrorists, Jaishankar said that India will not tolerate terrorist attacks and the response will be strong.

Our message is clear: Jaishankar
Jaishankar is currently on a visit to Brussels in Europe. He reiterated India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. He said in a media interview on Monday, “We will not tolerate it. Our message is clear that if they continue barbaric acts like April, it will be responded to, and this response will be against terrorist organizations and their leadership.”

He further said, ‘We do not care where they are. If they are in the interior of Pakistan, we will go that deep into Pakistan.’ Tensions between India and Pakistan, the two nuclear-armed neighbours, escalated after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. India retaliated with precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7.

The standoff between the two countries lasted for four days and ended on May 10 after talks between the DGMOs of the two sides agreed to halt military operations. Though the current standoff is over, Jaishankar warned that core issues remain unresolved. He described Pakistan as a country that “uses terrorism as a state policy. That is the whole issue.”

When asked if the conditions that led to last month’s clash still exist, he replied, “If you call commitment to terrorism a source of tension, then of course those conditions exist.” What did the foreign minister say on Rafale

When asked about the military losses, Jaishankar indicated that the relevant authorities would address the matter at the appropriate time. He stressed that India’s fighter jets and missiles caused ‘much more extensive damage’ to the Pakistani Air Force, which ultimately forced Pakistan to seek peace.
Jaishankar said, ‘For me, the destroyed airports of Pakistan are proof of how effective Rafale was or how effective other systems were.’

He further said, “The fighting stopped on the 10th for only one reason, and that was that on the morning of the 10th, we attacked and disabled eight main airports of Pakistan.” He cited pictures on Google, which show damaged runways and hangars. During his week-long visit to Europe, Jaishankar is scheduled to hold discussions with the leaders of the European Union, Belgium and France. The purpose of these talks is to strengthen bilateral relations and reiterate India’s firm policy against terrorism.

Terrorism will not be accepted in any form: Jaishankar
After the Pahalgam attack, India sent seven multiparty delegations to 33 global capitals to communicate with the international community about Pakistan’s hostile intentions and India’s decisive response to terrorism. India has repeatedly reiterated its commitment to precise and decisive strikes against terrorist bases.

Jaishankar further clarified his point and said that India’s stand is completely intolerant towards terrorism. He said, “Our message is clear: terrorism will not be accepted in any form. It will not be done. We have responded to this in the past, and will do so in the future if necessary.”

He also said that India has clearly informed the international community about Pakistan’s policies promoting terrorism. “We sent our delegations to 33 countries to explain to the world how Pakistan uses terrorism as its policy weapon. This is an issue that we have to keep raising at the global platform.” Jaishankar also added that India’s military actions were not only to destroy terrorist bases but also to send a message that India will not compromise with its security. “Our actions were precise and effective. We ensured that maximum damage was caused to the terrorist infrastructure while not harming civilians.” When asked about future relations with Pakistan, Jaishankar said that India wants peace, but this peace will be possible only when Pakistan stops sponsoring terrorism. ‘We want good relations with our neighbour, but that is possible only when support for terrorism stops.’

He also said India used its military capabilities only to target terror targets and not wage a full-blown war. “Our aim is to eliminate terrorism, not to start a war. But if we are provoked, we will not remain silent.”
