New Delhi: After the Pahalgam terror attack, many tourist places in Jammu and Kashmir have been closed for the time being. According to the information, the Jammu and Kashmir government has taken this decision on the recommendation of security agencies. 48 out of 87 tourist places in Kashmir have been closed due to intelligence warnings about the possibility of terrorist attacks. According to sources, some sleeper cells have become active in the valley after the Pahalgam attack, they have been instructed to start activity.
After the Pahalgam attack, there are constant intelligence warnings about some targeted killings by the TRT as well as an attempt to carry out a major attack to take revenge for blowing up the houses of active terrorists in the valley. Security forces have deployed anti-fidayeen squads from the Special Ops Group of the police at many sensitive tourist places including Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Lake areas. Security has also been increased in general after the terrorist incident in the valley.
