Kim Jong Un issued a cruise missile warning before Donald Trump’s arrival in South Korea…

October 29, 2025

New Delhi: North Korea on Tuesday tested sea-to-surface cruise missiles off the western coast of the Korean Peninsula. According to North Korean state media KCNA, the missiles were launched vertically from the sea and landed on their targets after flying along a predetermined path for approximately 7,800 seconds.

However, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was not present during the test. According to KCNA, Pak Jong Chon, Vice Chairman of the North Korean Central Military Commission, said the country was achieving “significant success” as planned toward strengthening its “nuclear power.”

The test comes as US President Donald Trump is arriving in South Korea on a visit. Trump will arrive in the South Korean city of Gyeongju on Wednesday, where he will attend meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum. Heads of state and industry leaders from several countries will also be present at this conference.

Trump to Meet Xi Jinping in South Korea
The most important aspect of Trump’s visit is his potential meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders in six years. It is hoped that this meeting could provide a step toward a settlement in the ongoing trade war between the US and China.

Russia Also Tests Nuclear-Powered Cruise Missile
Meanwhile, Russia has also successfully tested its nuclear-capable cruise missile, “Burevestnik.” President Vladimir Putin announced that the missile is capable of penetrating any defense system and will now be moved toward deployment. According to reports, the missile is capable of flying up to 14,000 kilometers and remained in the air for approximately 15 hours during the test.
