MP: Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti again in the field regarding liquor ban, said – Chowkidar is still alive…

Bhopal. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (MP) Uma Bharti has once again opened a front regarding liquor ban. Posting on social media on Tuesday, she wrote that the Chowkidar is still alive. There is no need for a stone in the hand, the injury of cow dung will be more heavy.’

Actually, under the new liquor policy, liquor has been banned at many religious places. On the other hand, local residents are also protesting against liquor shops in many areas, regarding which Uma Bharti has posted this. Uma Bharti wrote that ‘Two years ago, a comprehensive campaign was run in Madhya Pradesh regarding liquor ban, as a result of which a new liquor policy was announced in early January 2023.’

‘We do not make many things public’
She wrote, ‘It was an excise policy made after extensive discussions, which was taking us towards complete prohibition in one or two years. I was waiting for two years for the same policy to be implemented effectively. In the last one and a half years, I had continuous discussions on this subject with the new government. If it is our government, our Chief Minister, then many times we do not make our conversations public.’

‘There was a turmoil in the mind for 4 months’
Uma Bharti wrote, ‘If I followed this policy of “Discussion of qualities everywhere, defects in their proper place”, then everyone must have thought that I have become neutral on this subject. This is not the case at all. There has been a turmoil in the mind for 4 months. There is public protest everywhere, especially by women, regarding the allotment of shops. Have we become careless about the liquor distribution policy? The Chowkidar is still alive. There is no need for a stone in the hand, the blow of cow dung will be more severe.’

Uma Bharti has protested earlier too
Let us tell you that Uma Bharti has already protested against liquor ban during the Shivraj government and during that time she protested by throwing stones at liquor shops and breaking bottles. Although later she seemed satisfied to some extent with the amendment in the new excise policy, but now once again she has started warning the government on the subject of liquor.
