Naxalites’ IED blast in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, 2 soldiers of Cobra Battalion injured

Ranchi: An IED blast took place in Saranda forest in Chaibasa of West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand on Friday. This incident happened around 10:40 am. During this, two soldiers of the Cobra battalion were injured. The soldiers were going for an operation against the Naxalites. During this time they came under the grip of IED. Many Naxalites including top CPI Maoist leaders Misir Besra and Anmol are active in this area.

After the incident, the injured soldiers are being airlifted from Saranda forest to Ranchi. The injured soldiers are being sent to Ranchi by helicopter, so that they can get better treatment. The team of security forces is continuously running campaigns in this area and action against the Naxalites is going on. The injured soldiers are being given treatment on priority basis.
