Pakistani hackers again target India, hack defense websites!

New Delhi: Tensions between India and Pakistan are increasing after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Meanwhile, the Indian Army has informed that Pakistani hackers have targeted important defense websites of India and confidential information of defense personnel is likely to be leaked.

According to the Army, an ex-handle named ‘Pakistan Cyber ​​Force’ has breached the data of Military Engineer Services (MES) and Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analysis (IDSA). In this cyber attack, many confidential information including login credentials of defense personnel are feared to be leaked.

Apart from this, it has also been reported that the group also tried to deface the official website of ‘Armored Vehicle Corporation Limited’, a public sector unit under the Ministry of Defense. This website was defaced using Pakistani flag and AI.

The Indian Army said that as a precautionary measure, the website of ‘Armored Vehicle Corporation Limited’ has been taken offline for the time being so that the website can be thoroughly examined and the extent of damage caused by this cyber attack can be assessed. Also, to ensure that the security of the website is maintained.

In addition, cyber security experts and agencies are keeping a close watch on the cyber space so that any potential threat or sponsored cyber attack linked to Pakistan can be promptly identified and dealt with. The Army said that this monitoring is being done with the aim of promptly identifying and preventing any future threat.

The Army said that in response, appropriate and necessary measures are being taken to strengthen the security structure, strengthen digital security and protect against further intrusion attempts.
