Bhopal: Political rhetoric has intensified in the state regarding cases of religious conversion and ‘love jihad’. Taking a strong stance on this issue, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma alleged that some Muslim youths lure Hindu girls into love affairs, exploit them, and blackmail them by making videos. He demanded strict action against those involved in such cases.
Rameshwar Sharma said that such criminals should be jailed under various criminal sections and should not be granted bail easily. He also said that if necessary, more stringent laws should be enacted in such cases, and if serious crimes are proven, severe punishments like death penalty should also be considered. According to him, such incidents have angered the Hindu community.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi also expressed concern over the increasing cases of religious conversions in the state. He said that gyms and spa centers should be investigated for cases of conversion and ‘love jihad’. They claim that most cases are being reported through such places. Pritam Lodhi said that he will also raise this issue in the Legislative Assembly and demand concrete action from the government.
Meanwhile, Hindu organizations have expressed anger over a case of religious conversion in Bhopal. Bajrang Dal workers demonstrated in front of the police station in the capital. The protesters demanded justice for Hindu daughters and the immediate arrest of other accused involved in the case. During the protest, organization officials alleged that if strict action is not taken in time, such incidents could increase. They demanded from the administration that an impartial investigation be conducted against the accused and that those found guilty be given the harshest punishment.
