Chandigarh. The series of allegations and counter-allegations is going on in the political atmosphere of Punjab these days. The sharp rhetoric between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President Aman Arora and Congress leader Pratap Bajwa has made a lot of headlines. Pratap Bajwa claims that 32 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party are in touch with him and they want to join Congress. He claimed that he will present these MLAs publicly at the right time.
Pratap Bajwa challenged that Bhagwant Mann, who is the Chief Minister of Punjab, is himself in touch with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bajwa says that Bhagwant Mann and other leaders can also change the party. Bajwa also said that his aim is not to topple the government, but if needed, he can bring these MLAs forward. Earlier, he had claimed that 30 AAP MLAs were in touch with him.
Minister Aman Arora denied Pratab Bajwa’s statement
On the other hand, Aman Arora, a minister in the Bhagwant Mann government, rejected Bajwa’s claim. He had said in the past that even if 32 MLAs are in touch with Bajwa, the Congress does not have enough numbers to form the government. Aman Arora also said that many MLAs from BJP and Congress are also in touch with AAP.
Aman Arora attacked Bajwa and said that he talks nonsense and wants to remain in the media. He even said that Bajwa’s body may be in the Congress, but his soul has gone to the BJP.
Stir in Punjab politics
This controversy has once again created a stir in Punjab politics. It will be interesting to see which way this political tussle between Congress and AAP will take a turn in the coming days. The public’s eyes are fixed on this controversy due to the claims and allegations and counter-allegations of both the parties.
