Several important proposals approved in MP Cabinet meeting; Ladli Behans will now receive ₹1,500

November 10, 2025

Bhopal: Several important proposals were approved at a cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Decisions were taken at the meeting, including installing solar rooftop plants on government buildings, approving the revised cost of the Acharya Shankar Museum “Advaita Lok,” and increasing the amount of the Chief Minister Ladli Behan Scheme to ₹1,500. The Cabinet also decided to increase the monthly financial assistance under the Chief Minister Ladli Behan Scheme from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500.

This increased amount will be effective from November 2025. The scheme was launched in March 2023 with a monthly assistance of ₹1,000, which was increased to ₹1,250 in September 2023. Now, with a further increase of ₹250, ₹1,500 will be provided per month. This increase will require an additional budget of ₹1,793.75 million for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The estimated expenditure for the entire year will be ₹20,450.99 million. There are currently 12.6 million Ladli Bahinis in Madhya Pradesh. So far, ₹44,000 crore has been disbursed to Ladli Bahinis. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer the funds from Seoni on November 12th. Regarding the inclusion of eligible names left out in the Ladli Bahina Yojana, the minister stated that a government decision will be taken in due course.

The Cabinet approved the revised cost of ₹2,424.369 million for the construction of the Acharya Shankar Museum “Advaita Lok” in Omkareshwar. Administrative approval for this project was previously issued in June 2025 for ₹2,195.54 million. This project is being developed under the Ekatma Dham, which includes a 108-foot-tall multimetallic statue of Acharya Shankar, the Shankar Museum, the International Vedanta Institute, and the Advaita Nilayam, which will be constructed by the MP Tourism Corporation.

Under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, solar rooftop plants will be installed on all government buildings in the state using the RESCO system. Government departments will not have to make any investment under this system. Departments will only pay per unit for the energy consumed, which will be lower than the DISCOM rates. This will save government institutions on electricity costs. These plants will be installed for a period of 25 years and will also be maintained by the RESCO unit.

Solar plants will be installed in all districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar, Rewa, and Satna. In Bhopal alone, plants with a capacity of 15,695 kilowatts will be installed at 211 sites. The Cabinet approved the creation of seven new posts (one judge and six support staff) for the establishment of a court of civil judge, junior division, in Mandhata tehsil of Khandwa district. The annual expenditure is estimated at ₹5.276 million.
