
New Delhi: After the death of a student in Sharda University of Greater Noida, the angry mother of the student slapped the BDS Head of Department in Sharda University. The police intervened and saved the Head of Department from the angry mob. The video of the slapping by the mother of the student is going viral on social media. In the viral video, it can be seen that first the mother of the student slapped the Head of Department, then after that there was a scuffle with other people present on the spot.
After the assault on the Head of Department who came to convince the people protesting in the university, the police tried to save him from the mob. During this, other people present on the spot also started scuffling with the Head of Department. The police tried to intervene. Seeing the matter getting worse, the police lathicharged the people protesting. Due to which there was an atmosphere of chaos on the spot. It can be seen in the video that the mother of the student and the people protesting with the Head of Department are arguing. The mother is saying bring my daughter back.
Actually, Jyoti, a student from Gurugram, committed suicide in her hostel room on Friday. After which the student’s mother and people were protesting. The Head of Department had come to convince them, during which many people beat him up. The police personnel present on the spot handled the matter and saved the Head of Department from the angry crowd. However, the mother of the deceased student slapped the Head of Department, due to which the matter escalated.
The deceased student Jyoti was a resident of Ashok Vihar in Gurugram. The student was doing a BDS course in Sharda University, she was a second year student. She committed suicide by hanging herself in the hostel room yesterday. The student had written in her suicide note that two professors of her department are responsible for her death. After receiving the suicide note, both the professors have been suspended. Police is investigating the whole matter.
