New Delhi. A heartbreaking incident came to light on Thursday from Sector-57 area of ​​​​Gurgaon, which shook the whole city. State level tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her own father Deepak Yadav. The incident took place around 10:30 am when Radhika was working in the kitchen located on the first floor of her house. The reason behind this heinous crime that came to light was as shocking as the crime itself.

It is clearly written in the FIR that the accused Deepak Yadav himself confessed the crime in front of Gurugram Police and said that the people of the village used to taunt him about his daughter’s earnings. They used to say that he is eating the girl’s earnings. This caused a deep mental trauma to Deepak. He told that his daughter Radhika was an excellent tennis player, who had won trophies at the national level many times. But after suffering a shoulder injury, she was away from the game and opened her own tennis academy.

There was also resentment over reels and academy
According to the copy of the FIR, Deepak Yadav was angry not only with the academy but also with Radhika’s habit of making reels on social media. He felt that all this was harming the honor of his family. When he asked Radhika to close the academy, Radhika refused. After this Deepak started living under constant mental stress. In the FIR, he told that when he used to go to village Wazirabad to get milk, people used to taunt Radhika about her social media presence and academy, which made him angry.

Murdered with three bullets, mother was in the room
On the morning of the incident, Deepak took out his licensed .32 bore revolver and when Radhika was in the kitchen, fired three bullets from behind her waist. At that time, only three people were present on the first floor of the house – Deepak Yadav, his wife Manju Yadav and daughter Radhika. According to the FIR, Manju Yadav was resting in her room due to fever and she only heard the sound of the gunshot.

Uncle reached the spot, Radhika was found soaked in blood
On hearing the gunshot, Deepak’s brother Kuldeep Yadav and his son Piyush immediately reached the spot. They saw that Radhika was lying soaked in blood in the kitchen and a revolver was kept on the drawing room table, in which five fire shells and one live cartridge were present. Radhika was immediately taken to ASIA MARIANGO HOSPITAL Sector-56, where doctors declared her dead. Radhika’s uncle Kuldeep also expressed his suspicion to the police that Radhika was murdered by her brother. On his complaint, the police registered a case against Deepak and started further investigation.
Police revealed the role of the accused

The police seized revolver, blood samples and swabs from the crime scene and called a team of fingerprint experts to the spot. During interrogation, Deepak Yadav confessed his crime. However, his wife Manju Yadav refused to give a statement and said that she was ill and did not know how all this happened. She only told verbally that she did not know why her husband shot the daughter, even though her character was good.

First an attempt to mislead, then the father broke down
Initially the family members tried to mislead the police and said that Radhika had shot herself. But when the police interrogated strictly and collected physical evidence from the crime scene, Deepak Yadav broke down and revealed the truth of the entire incident. Accused Deepak told that at the time of the incident, he, Radhika and his wife Manju were present in the house, while the son, who is a property dealer, had gone to his office. Police have registered a case against Deepak Yadav under Section 103(1) BNS for murder and Section 27(3) of Arms Act, 54-1959. The accused is currently in custody and the investigation into Radhika’s death is ongoing.
