
Desk: The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly’s winter session will be held in Nagpur from December 8th to 14th. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of both houses of the state legislature held at the Vidhan Bhavan. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar were present at the meeting. Officials said the assembly will meet on December 13th and 14th, which fall on Saturday and Sunday.
The winter session is usually held in Nagpur, Maharashtra’s second capital. This time, the assembly session will be held amid local body elections. Elections for 264 local bodies were held on Tuesday, while the State Election Commission has postponed elections for 24 other bodies until December 20th. Elections for 154 wards in 76 of these 264 local bodies will also be held on December 20th. Counting of votes for all 288 local bodies will take place on December 21st.
