According to Iranian state media, Pezeshkian stated that if the international community fails to punish the parties responsible for the war, the global order could be placed in grave jeopardy. He emphasized that ignoring the true instigators behind the conflict would render the international system even more unstable.

It must manage a restless and angered Shia population, which constitutes approximately 20 percent of its 250 million citizens. And it must scrupulously avoid any action that could jeopardize its newly forged relationship with Washington. The dilemma is that these three objectives have now become mutually incompatible.
