New Delhi: While starting the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha on Monday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in the House that more than 100 terrorists, their handlers and trainers have been killed in India’s military action. Along with this, Rajnath Singh said that Operation Sindoor has not stopped but has been postponed and if there is any audacity from Pakistan in future, then Operation Sindoor will be started again.

Rahul Gandhi stood up in the middle of the speech
During this discussion, a debate was also seen between Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Rajnath Singh. Rajnath told the House that when the Indian Army targeted Pakistan’s military bases, the neighboring country had completely accepted defeat. After this, Pakistan appealed for ceasefire. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi suddenly stood up from his chair and asked why did you stop the operation? With Rahul’s statement, the opposition MPs also started making noise in the House. However, Rajnath Singh said that let me make my full statement, I am ready to answer every question.

Continuing his answer, Rajnath Singh said in the Lok Sabha that it is completely wrong to say that the operation was stopped under someone’s pressure. India stopped its military action because all the set targets had been achieved. He said that India’s aim was not to wage war, but Operation Sindoor was started to teach a lesson to Pakistan, which uses terrorism as a proxy.

Pakistan defeated by the attack
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said in the Lok Sabha that the strong attacks by the Indian Air Force, the strong retaliation by the Army on the border and the fear of attack from the Indian Navy forced Pakistan to bow down. He said that Pakistan’s defeat is not just a military failure but it is a defeat of both its military power and morale. He said that on May 10, Pakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian DGMO over phone and appealed to stop the military action.

The Defence Minister said in the Lok Sabha that on May 12, formal communication took place between the DGMOs of both the countries and only then both sides decided to stop the military action. He said that the result matters in the examination. We should pay attention to the child’s marks, not the fact that his pencil broke during the exam. The result is that our forces have succeeded in fully achieving the target set during Operation Sindoor.

Rajnath Singh told the House that the purpose of starting Operation Sindoor was to eliminate those terror nurseries which were nurtured in Pakistan for years. Our forces targeted only those who were continuously involved in attacking India by supporting these terrorists. He said that the purpose of this operation was not to wage war.

Opposition is not asking the right questions
Rajnath Singh said that the opposition people have been asking how many of our planes were shot down. This question does not properly represent public sentiments. They never asked us how many enemy planes our forces shot down. If they have to ask questions, then they should ask whether Operation Sindoor was successful, the answer is yes.

Rajnath Singh said that when the goals are big, then attention should not be diverted to small issues. This can divert attention from the security of the country, the honor and enthusiasm of the soldiers. If friends from the opposition are not able to ask the right questions on Operation Sindoor, then what can I say. He said that in my political journey of more than four decades, I have never seen politics from a hostile point of view. Today we are in power, but it is not necessary that we will always be in power. When the people entrusted us with the responsibility of being in the opposition, we have fulfilled it in a positive manner.
