Panaji: The Indian Coast Guard conducted an operation off the Goa coast to rescue a 62-year-old Ukrainian citizen who suffered a heart attack. On December 13, 2025, the Indian Coast Guard ship C-420 conducted a swift medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) at sea. The operation was carried out to rescue a 62-year-old Ukrainian national who suffered a heart attack while on board the Malta-flagged merchant vessel MV Interasia Amplify off the coast of Goa.

According to reports, the Indian Coast Guard safely evacuated the patient from the ship and provided him with timely medical assistance. This operation once again demonstrated the Indian Coast Guard’s commitment to saving lives at sea. The ICG stated that such promptness and swift action guarantee the safety of all those traveling at sea.
