US: Donald Trump reiterates claim of stopping India-Pakistan conflict, says he should receive Nobel Peace Prize

Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again reiterated his claim of stopping the military conflict between India and Pakistan. On Tuesday, the US President made his remarks at a cabinet meeting, referring to the Russia-Ukraine war. During the meeting, Donald Trump clearly stated that he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for each of the eight wars he helped end.

Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war, he said at a cabinet meeting, “We ended eight wars… but now there’s one more left, and I hope we can end this one too.” Trump continued, “Every time I end a war, they say I’ll get a Nobel Prize if I end this war. If I end this war, they say I’ll get it for the next one. Now they’re saying I’ll get a Nobel Prize if I end the Russia-Ukraine war. So what about the other eight wars? India-Pakistan—think about how many wars I ended. I should get a Nobel Prize for every war, but I don’t want to be greedy.”

The US President said his goal wasn’t the prize, but to save lives. Trump also claimed that the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Venezuelan activist Maria Corina Machado-Perisca, also said she deserved it.

Claim repeated more than 60 times so far
It’s worth noting that Trump has repeated more than 60 times since May 10th that the “complete and immediate” ceasefire between India and Pakistan was made possible by his mediation.
