New Delhi: The Congress party has continuously attacked the Election Commission, leveling several serious allegations. 272 prominent figures in the country have written an open letter regarding this. The letter includes 16 judges, 123 former bureaucrats, 14 ambassadors, and 133 retired armed forces officers. In recent days, the Congress party has made serious allegations of vote theft. A total of 272 people have written an open letter in support of the Election Commission. They allege that opposition leaders and the Congress party have attempted to defame constitutional institutions like the Election Commission of India. All of them have written a letter condemning the Congress party.
This open letter condemns the rhetoric against the Election Commission. It stated, “We, the senior citizens of society, express our concern that India’s democracy is being attacked not by force, but by a growing wave of toxic rhetoric against its fundamental institutions. Some leaders are employing dramatic political tactics, resorting to inflammatory and baseless accusations.”
The letter stated, “Sometimes the valor and achievements of the Indian Armed Forces have been questioned, and sometimes the courts, Parliament, and its officials have been questioned. After these questions, now it is the Election Commission’s turn. Conspiratorial attacks have been launched on its integrity and reputation.” Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, it wrote, “The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha has repeatedly attacked the Election Commission. He has solid evidence that the Election Commission has been involved in vote theft.”
