Donald Trump appoints Sergio Gor as the new US ambassador to India

Trump made this announcement through a post on his social media platform Truth Social. Sergio Gor is currently the director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office. After getting confirmation from the US Senate, he will be the new permanent US ambassador to India. Trump said in his Truth Social post, ‘I am pleased to announce that I am appointing Sergio Gor as the next US ambassador to India and special envoy for South and Central Asian affairs.’ Donald Trump described Sergio Gor as his close ally, friend and someone he can completely trust. Trump said, ‘For the most populous region of the world, it is important that I have a person who can fully implement my agenda and lead us towards the goal of Make America Great Again (MAGA). Sergio will prove to be a great ambassador.’

Sergio Gor has long been Trump’s political and personal confidant. He played an important role in Trump’s historic presidential campaign, contributed to the publication of his bestselling books, and led a large Super Pac (political action committee) in support of Trump. As director of the Presidential Personnel Office in the White House, Gor played an important role in staff selection for the Trump administration. Sergio Gor was born on November 30, 1986 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He completed his education from George Washington University, where he participated in the College Republicans and supported Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008. Gor has also served as a spokesperson for representatives like Michele Bachmann, Steve King and Randy Forbes. In May 2013, he began working as communications director for Kentucky Senator Rand Paul’s political action committee, RANDPAC. In addition, Gore co-founded Winning Team Publishing with Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., known for publishing two of Trump’s books.
