Bangladesh violence spills over to London… Khalistanis disrupt Indian protest, create disturbance in support of Dhaka

December 28, 2025

New Delhi: Indian and Bangladeshi Hindu communities held a strong protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Saturday against the killings and violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. A new twist emerged during the protest when five members of a pro-Khalistan group arrived in support of Bangladesh. They were seen shouting slogans, waving their flags, and creating a disturbance.

The protesting Hindu community members also played the Bangladeshi national anthem, “Amar Shonar Bangla,” and demanded an immediate end to the violence against religious minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh. The protesters said that Hindus are being continuously targeted in Bangladesh and the international community should take notice.

This protest in London comes a day after several protests were held in India against the alleged atrocities in Bangladesh. In several states, including West Bengal and Assam, people took to the streets demanding accountability from the Bangladeshi government.

Protests from Delhi to West Bengal
According to news agency ANI, in this connection, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers took out a torchlight procession in Siliguri, West Bengal. BJP leader Anita Mahato, who participated in the procession, said, “Until Hindus unite, such incidents will continue to happen. Hindus were burned alive in Bangladesh, this is a very serious issue.” Earlier, Hindu organizations also protested in Delhi and other cities across the country.

India condemns violence against minorities
Meanwhile, the Indian government has expressed deep concern over the repeated violence against Hindu, Christian, and Buddhist minorities in Bangladesh. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “India is seriously concerned about the ongoing violence against minorities in Bangladesh. We condemn the killing of a Hindu youth in Mymensingh and hope that the perpetrators will be punished.”
