Mandsaur: A shocking incident has come to light from Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday evening, in the posh Abhinandan area of the city, two men on a motorcycle brutally murdered the wife of a BJP councillor. The incident has caused panic throughout the city, and the police have set up roadblocks to apprehend the attackers.
Fatal Attack While Boarding an Auto-Rickshaw
According to reports, Rubina, the wife of BJP councillor Shahid Mew from Ward No. 15, was returning from her parents’ house on Thursday evening around 5:30 pm. As soon as she boarded an auto-rickshaw to go to her rented house, two young men on an Apache motorcycle arrived at the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the men dismounted from the bike and, without giving Rubina any chance to react, repeatedly stabbed her with a sharp knife. The attack was so brutal that Rubina didn’t even have a chance to defend herself. After committing the crime, both the accused fled the scene on their high-speed motorcycle. Rubina, in a pool of blood, was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Family Dispute and Suspicion on ‘Sahil’
The police’s preliminary investigation strongly suggests a deep-seated family feud behind the murder. According to police sources, a young man named Sahil is suspected of committing the murder. It is being said that Sahil is a close relative of the family. The police are also investigating whether this is the result of a personal rivalry or an old dispute.
Several Aspects Under Investigation
A significant fact that has emerged during the police investigation is that the deceased, Rubina, was the third wife of Councillor Shahid Mew. The investigation has also revealed that this was Rubina’s fourth marriage. Considering this complex web of relationships, the Mandsaur police are meticulously investigating every possible angle.
CCTV Footage and Police Action
Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers reached the spot. The Abhinandan area has been cordoned off. Acting on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police (SP), police are reviewing footage from CCTV cameras installed on the city’s main roads and around the crime scene. Police claim that the culprits will be arrested soon.
