MP: Speeding Pickup Collides with Dumper in Bhind, 8 Labourers Killed; 26 Injured

Bhind: A horrific road accident on the Bhind-Gwalior Road near Chhimka village claimed the lives of eight people and left 26 others injured after a speeding pickup truck collided with a dumper. Four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

The accident triggered panic and chaos at the spot, with cries for help heard as people remained trapped and injured. Local residents and police personnel immediately launched rescue operations. The injured were rushed to the Community Health Centre in Gohad through 108 ambulances and police vehicles.

Victims Were Returning to Uttar Pradesh

According to preliminary information, the deceased and injured were labourers from Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. They were reportedly returning home after completing paddy transplantation work in Gohad.

8 Dead, 26 Injured

Police confirmed that eight people died in the crash, while 26 sustained injuries. After receiving initial treatment at Gohad Hospital, those in critical condition were referred to Gwalior for advanced medical care.

Following information about the accident, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel and SDOP Mahendra Gautam, along with SHOs from Chauraha, Gohad and Endori police stations, reached the spot with police personnel.

Police teams are investigating the accident and working to establish how the collision occurred. Efforts are also underway to identify the deceased and collect further details about the victims and the circumstances leading to the crash.
