IndiGo Plane Hits Airport Pole While Parking at Srinagar; Major Accident Averted, All Passengers Safe

Srinagar: A major accident was narrowly averted at Srinagar Airport on Friday morning after an IndiGo aircraft arriving from Navi Mumbai came into contact with a pole while being parked at the airport. Fortunately, all passengers and crew members on board were safe, and no injuries were reported.

The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 225, which arrived from Navi Mumbai. According to the airline, the aircraft, identified as VT-NOG, was being parked at Bay No. 06 around 9:02 AM when it came into contact with a pole associated with the Visual Docking Guidance System.

Passengers Safely Disembarked
Following the incident, passengers and crew members were safely deboarded from the aircraft using manual aircraft stairs. There were no reports of injuries in connection with the incident. IndiGo said the contact occurred while the aircraft was in the process of parking. However, the exact circumstances that led to the incident have not yet been established.

The airline said the incident will be examined by the relevant authorities in accordance with established procedures. Officials will investigate the circumstances and determine the precise cause.
