Kushinagar: A peculiar and security-sensitive incident has come to light in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. A fan bearing a Pakistani label was allegedly discovered installed within a local madrasa. It is claimed that the fan bears the inscription “Made in Pakistan,” and a photograph of it has now become a major topic of discussion across the internet.
The incident reportedly occurred within the jurisdiction of the Vishnupur police station area in Kushinagar. A fan at the Madrasa Qadriya Haqiqatul-Uloom had malfunctioned. An electrician was summoned from outside to repair it; while working on the device, he noticed the inscription “Made in Pakistan” on the fan. As soon as locals caught wind of the fact that an electronic appliance bearing a label from across the border (Pakistan) was being used within the madrasa, demands for protests and a thorough investigation intensified throughout the area.
Photo Goes Viral on Social Media
A photograph of the fan installed inside the madrasa spread like wildfire across social media platforms. The viral image allegedly clearly displays Pakistani branding on the fan. Taking the matter seriously, local residents have demanded that the administration determine exactly how this fan made its way into India and what the underlying motive was behind installing it in the madrasa.
What Does the Kushinagar Police Say?
Given the sensitive nature of the incident, Kushinagar Superintendent of Police (SP) Keshav Kumar has issued an official statement. He confirmed that the police have taken cognizance of the entire matter, and a comprehensive investigation is currently underway. The primary focus of the inquiry is to ascertain how this Pakistani-branded fan entered India and to identify the sources involved in its procurement and sale. The madrasa management may also be questioned in connection with this matter.
