New Delhi: Kajal Aggarwal, a renowned actress who has showcased her acting prowess from South to Bollywood, is currently in the news for her outspoken statement. It’s often seen in the film industry that actors are willing to go to any lengths to work with big banners or prominent stars, but Kajal Aggarwal’s thinking is completely different.
In a recent interview, Kajal spoke openly about her selection of films and roles. She clarified that she listens to her conscience before signing any film. If she feels even the slightest hesitation or discomfort with a role, she walks away from a major project without hesitation. Kajal believes that compromising one’s dignity and boundaries for career advancement is not right.
Listening to your inner voice is most important.
Kajal Aggarwal, speaking about her approach to choosing projects, said she always follows her heart. She believes that it’s crucial to be honest with oneself. “I’ve followed this principle throughout my career. I always did what felt natural and right. If I had even the slightest hesitation about a role or scene, I would simply tell the producers, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t be a part of this project.’ It doesn’t matter to me how big the film is or how important the role is; setting your own boundaries is the most important thing.”
Staying Away From Bikinis and Bold Scenes
During the interview, Kajal also mentioned the personal boundaries she’s maintained since entering the industry. Expressing her opinion on bold and intimate scenes, she clearly stated that she’s never been comfortable wearing a bikini on screen. According to Kajal, “It’s a completely personal decision, and I didn’t want to show it on screen.” I’ve also always avoided doing overly intimate scenes, as this is where I set my personal boundaries. I’ve always respected these boundaries and never crossed them. Ultimately, what matters most is how true you are to yourself.
