Plan to Hijack and Crash Flight in Israel! Co-pilot’s Sinister Intentions Revealed

New Delhi: A new claim has emerged regarding the attempted crash of Flydubai Flight 1073. According to Israeli media, the co-pilot told investigators that he intended to crash the plane in Israel. Previously, the co-pilot was identified as Hamam Al-Hammami, an Omani national.

He is accused of stabbing the flight captain and rapidly steering the aircraft toward the ground. Passengers and crew members managed to subdue the co-pilot, while reserve pilots on board took control of the aircraft and landed it safely in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, further information has surfaced regarding the accused co-pilot; it has been revealed that he was previously suspected of harboring radical ideologies.

For this reason, Oman had already banned him from flying aircraft. Despite the ban, Flydubai hired the co-pilot, and he began flying on a sensitive route connecting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel. However, it remains unclear whether Oman shared its concerns regarding the co-pilot with other countries or airlines. Details regarding the nature of his alleged radicalism have also not been disclosed.

Co-pilot Sent to the UAE
On Thursday, the co-pilot was sent to the United Arab Emirates. According to sources, Israeli officials are expected to interrogate him there. However, the source did not specify which Israeli agency or authority would be involved in the interrogation. When asked about this, an Israeli government official stated that Israeli investigators would join Emirati officials in the investigation being led by the UAE leadership. The probe aims to determine exactly what transpired on the aircraft, while also examining the suspect’s motives and background. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to a query regarding whether Israeli officials would be permitted to question the co-pilot.

Flydubai Terms It a ‘Safety Incident’
Responding publicly to the incident for the first time on Friday, Flydubai Chief Executive Ghaith Al Ghaith stated that officials are conducting an official investigation and the airline is cooperating with the process. He described the event in the cockpit as a “safety incident.” He noted that there are many questions surrounding the incident and emphasized that the investigative process should be allowed to establish the facts.
